Meet the finest farm animals the region has to offer!
In 2022 the Gillingham & Shaftesbury Show welcomed 600 Sheep entries and 196 Cattle as they all compete for those coveted rosettes and trophies.
Preparing the animals will start months in advance with haulter training, then one or two days prior to the Show itself the animals will have a shampoo and trim with the serious preparation beginning on the day with cleaning, brushing, combing, preening – just like a Saturday night out. The judging commences with Young Handlers followed by breed classes.
