The only charge is Car Parking which is £3 in advance or £5 on the day, advance Car Parking can be purchased below. To assist us in the maintenance of the Showground and Covid-19 precautions we have to charge this small amount.
Advance Car Passes have now ended. You can still join us at the Food & Crafts Market for just £5 per car – we accept both Cash & Card on the gate. Payment is taken from your vehicle after entering into the Showground.

Turnpike Showground & Gillingham & Shaftesbury Show want to give back to the community and those businesses that have lost out due to COVID-19, for that reason we welcome local stands for as little as £20.

There will be hot foods to take home or alternatively enjoy on the Showground. Turnpike Showground is large enough to find a nice spot away from the Market to sit and relax.
Following feedback after the July Market we will be increasing the number of onsite hot food options.
You are welcome to bring a picnic to eat after browsing the stands. Turnpike Showground is large enough to find a spot away from the Market. Please do take all rubbish home with you or use the onsite bins provided.
We ask if you bring a dog that they are kept on a short lead, and kept under control and away from all Food stands.
The Showground will take all precautions advised at the time of the Market. This includes providing Hand Sanitiser stations in numerous areas of the Market along with spraying markings on the grass to advise on social distancing. Trade Stands will also take the required precautions to keep Market visitor’s safe, the Showground will provide Traders with hand washing stations along with routinely cleaned toilets. The Showground is of significant size to allow viable space between stands and visitors making social distancing easier compared to inside venues.
While the Showground cannot be held responsible we will do our very best to keep visitors safe. You attend the Market at your own risk.
Yes, you can ride your bike to the Showground and lock it to fencing onsite. There is no charge for bikes.
The majority of Traders will accept card. However, we advise you bring some cash just encase.
Due to being on the Showground we cannot always guarantee perfect mobile signals for the card machines to work.
If very bad weather is forecasted it maybe that the organisers decide to cancel, if that is the case we will inform car parking pass holders via e-mail by 8am on the morning of the Market.
If the Market is cancelled all passes will be refunded.
